tell me how to test it to get the output and i'll take it to my friends shop and have it done.....i don't have any electical test meters

SO your powerring all of those subs with like 1000rms?
I just don't get it, if the man likes his setup than that is all that matters. Not everyone can afford gobs of power like you, mr. 160 amps of current draw. Yes if that was my setup I would have used different amps, but I'm not going to make fun of him for it. I am just so sick of all the haters on this forum.

4 rockford 500 watt amps...... overrated.... soo... 1000?

Actually rockford underrates everything. Just looked at a birth sheet on a p500-2 and theyre actual power is 764rms X1 at 4 ohms if you bridge it. Probably around 1k each or so at 2 ohms. The rockford p1000 puts out almost 1400rms although its rated for 1000. Lets see your cadence do that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

It was a guess. I figured those amps were overrated, wasnt cutting into the guy or anything, it was a freakin question on how many watts he was powerring his substage with

Ahhh, now that you look like a fool we'll act like we weren't trying to cut anyone down. Before you make uneducated remarks you should do your homework. I just think it's ironic how you called a man out who has more power than you. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

appriecate it man! I was so busy thinking about it that I didn't even think I could look it up with a multimeter.

You should use an adapter. You might gain some insight on a Town Car forum as well. https://www.installer.com/cars/by_car.php?carid=3402

Is there a BT, USB or other AUX option? May be time to convert your CDs to a solid sate option and use it until you replace the init altogether.

This would go a long way to alleviating the dimming issue, up to around 4000 watts. It can handle 100A continuous and up to 285A 7 second burst...
