Makes sense. Even head unit power would destroy your ears. I'm wondering if the ratings are actual or not. But hell with a 2.85 inch VC they can't be too far off.

I'm going to guess that the Crescendo's ratings are accurate. And I sure as hell would rather buy 5 pairs of them for $200 then one pair of Lanzars for $1k...

I owned a set of PYLE super tweets one time and off of 25rms per tweet they were literally unbearable. You could hear them echo through town literally. IF i could find a good somewhat hidden but properly placed location I would run another set but not until I find somewhere that isn't too out in the open

How much powa do you think this 26K amp actually put out? Lanzar Car Audio

i ran it last year its the same as a cactus ele12k or a soundstream 15k

it does 11kw a2 12volts and .8 ohm per channel (its a dual mono )

The Lanzars are not going to be 1000 dollars. My guess is somewhere from 50 to 100 bucks. The Crescendos are 8 ohm and that is the deal breaker.

Everyone is saying how little power you need for them.. So 8 ohm wouldn't be a problem.

yes that would change your crossover point on a passive crossover that originally used 4 ohm drivers. You either need to modify or change the crossover or go active.
