what would be better 2 of the 12" ks or 2 15" ks with the nine 1 amp in my ext cab sierra without the back seat. I have the space either way and i listen to a vary wide variety of music but lots of alternative rock stuff. Either setup will be loud, but the 15's would undoubtedly be louder.

Same here. Arguing with someone whose views are skewed so strongly (wether correct or incorrect) would have undoubtedly been a waste of time.

Of course, the same can be said for the eD reps here, so I suggest you not point the finger in any direction.

It may not be nice but this happens in all industries. PR people get dropped after doing a great job of supporting, because they feel they aren't needed or they have helped build the company enough that expenses can be cut by dropping them. Excellent workers get fired when times get tough. Businesses don't necessarilly do what is in the best interest of an employee but rather what is in the best interest of the company. The business world is full of politics. It's not a nice friendly place. Hopefully ED gave you an explanation and thanked you for helping build the company, but sometimes even great people aren't recognized. In some ways you have to make yourself be recognized otherwise you will be forgotten or taken for granted. Now if you worked in Japan they probably would have kept you around because of cultural differences in the work field, but it seems like I heard recently that their culture may also be evolving or at least they evolved temporarily for the rough economic times.Sobe owns all.
I was once a "competitor" for eD. My 12As broke...both of em. Not 15s, but 12s. Poor design, but I'm not going to get into that. Point is (and I hate to say it) Josh is right. To all of you eD reps...there was once a thing called Team Industry. You see, this was before the days of magazine product reviews and such. We competed with eD products and generally just promoted eD. This lasted for...lets see...about 2 months. Then eD started to get big, and all the little people were forgotten.
Long story short...I'll never touch an eD product again. Some of you call this a hobby...which it is, but when you are used for promotional purposes and dropped like a bag of sand the minute the company you were loyal too becomes half way popular, you never forget it...because that is personal.
I guess I'm fortunate. I've had my k's for about 3 weeks short of a year and they're still running fine. I'm sending each 10" 300 watts each. I did go through the proper break in period. I drove my car with them not turned up for around 8-10 hrs (I had a nice long distance trip). I drive with my system loud and have had no problem. I could be wrong (in fact I've never been to a comp) but don't speakers tend to blow in SPL competitions? Or were you sending the subs more than their rms rating? If rms was exceeded I don't see how it should be the company's fault. That's like someone straping on a performance part to their car that voids the warranty and gets mad when it causes engine failure or a shortened engine life. I feel the k's that I bought were better than any other speaker choice that I could have picked up from my local good guys, bestbuy, circuit city. I will say I was pretty upset that I didn't receive my k's until July sometime when their original release was supposed to be at the end of may or beginning of June if I remember back correctly. My anger has left as I've had no problem with the speaker. I rather have to wait an extra month than go and buy the jbl's gt series (and receive them in a week) that I previously had and have them break constantly and have to keep sending them back.
Now that I've said this I've probably jinx myself and my k's will break tomorrow and the new 15" o series that I ordered will break within a month of when I get them LOL.

Semantics are boring. Only time will tell wether your views are correct, or if they aren't. I'm not definitely ruling out either, and you shouldn't either.
