New Jl Audio C2-650 component speaker issues.

Alright guys so I installed some New Jl Audio C2-650 component speakers. They are running off a 1000 watt kenwood amp. They sound really good, but after about 19-24 sec. They sound muffled (like put a pillow over them) and the sound progressively worsens, until I cut them down for a few seconds, then I turn them back up and they're good again, then about 20 seconds later they muffle again, and this repeats. My trouble shooting- amp? No I tried with two different amps same results and time. Radio? No I tried 3 different output options. The amps aren't hot, they are getting enough power I know, the wiring is really good. Tried readjusting the Amps. Now I'm just lost, please help me out.

Get a coaxial to RCA adapter and connect your phone directly to the amp. You can use an ipad, ipod, whatever. See if the problem persists. If not, it's the head unit or the RCAs from the HU to the amp.
