NEW Jbl amp 1 ohm stable?

Does anyone know if the JBL GTO 1201.1 is 1 ohm stable? Ive heard that it has the same internals of the BPX amp but I dont know if it will still run with out problems. Anyone?

nope. I believe the jbl bp 1200.1 is, but yours isnt.

As for does the gto have the same internals as the Bpx, Nope. The bpx is a definate upgrade. It allows you to recieve nearly the same power at any ohm load. Besides that their output is similar, but the bpx is a better amp.

I actually meant the BP. My mistake. Yea the BPX is way different. O well I gess I wont be able to do 1ohm on this amp

Ive never tried to run the gto at 1 ohm, so maybe it can, but ide talk to jbl before doing so.

well jbl hasnt responded. And I thought I remember someone telling me that the amp was fine at 1 ohm.
