New Install 06 Z06

Here is an install I did last weekend in a 2006 Chevy Z06. I hope you guys like it.

you have to take out the entire center console and center dash to swap headunits out in this car. PITA!

Pioneer Avic-Z1, the baddest Headunit I have ever played with. It has everything! I also did an ipod adapter, the plug is located in the glove box.

Front door had an 8 in the bottom, and 3.5's in the upper, but we are doing Kicker SS 6.5 comps.

Had to make some plates.

Did Kicker SS 5.25 Comps in the rear.

Now for the good stuff! The box and amp rack. a pair of L7 10's sealed .925 per sub, with a kicker zx1500.1 and zx450.2.

Jigging up my trim panel. Made this an all one peice, as much as it sucked b/c of all the curves and having to be perfect around the subs and for the amps, but well worth it in the end for a clean look.

Finish wiring the amps, and wired and mounted the red neons. Kicker SS crossovers are monted to a board underneath the amp rack.

Where'd the subs go!?

And now for the finished pics. The only thing I have left to do, is move the amps around just a little forward. I just wanted to get some pics takin.

It sounds very nice. I am throughly impressed with the Kicker SS comps, they are some of the cleanest components I have heard. And everyone talks about how L7's sound like crap, Im impressed with them. They arent a SQ sub by no means, but they sound good.

i like it, only thing is at an angle, you can see the other layer of MDF under the amp. i would have painted it black. but its a nice install, i like the top cover panel over the subs and amps.
