new in ohio need suggestions for sub/amp combo

Hey guys just signed up to try and get some help and educate myself. I've got a couple questions that if I could get answered would be greatly appreciated.

1. My new subs handle 250 rms and my amp is pushing 500 peak and 250 rms (rockford fosgate r500x1d). It's not picking up the low bass on some songs and I wonder if I should have it professionally tuned by horizon or are these subs just not capable of the output of some songs?

2. If my subs and amp need upgraded what would be the best subs capable of handling about 600 rms and an amp that can push enough power to make them hit any song tones I play. Mono amp? 2 4 5 channel amp? Any help or suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks!

Try a better box custom built not prefab

Rockford fosgate p2d2 12 in an older version because they only are rated at 250 rms whereas the new ones are 300 rms
