I just bought a alpine cda-9815 and need some help on the installation. Right now, i have 2 sets of RCA's run down the right side of the car for front and rear....now which would sound better...?

1. running another set of RCA's down the right side, all the way behind the HU to the sub amp input....or

2. the easier choice...run a 3ft. RCA from the output of speaker amp, to the input of the sub amp.

im hoping it's just about convienience, because i REALLY dont wanna have to run that 3rd pair of RCA's it would be a TIGHT squeeze. thanks sumone, any other ideaS?

i had a 9815, well i still do, just without a faceplate right now:( anyways, i'm sure you could do the easy way, but you won't have control over the sub with the hu. that's why i like the alpine hu's, you can adjust just the sub and not have to turn the bass of everything up

Well the other option would be to split the front RCA to run the front and rear channels and use what was your rear RCA cable as the sub cable. This will cost you the fader capability, but you will be able to adjust that with the gains on the amps. IMO the sub control is much more useful and convenient than the fader.
