New Hifonics Amps?

I've been looking for a new amp to power my dual 2 ohm type r's for a little while and I see the new line of Hifonics amps are certified and all that. In the past they sent a lot of clipped signals from what I heard and i was wondering if they are any better about that now? Has anyone seen the new line in use? The amp I'm thinking about getting is the BRZ1700.1d. It would be 1200rms at 2 ohms.

My alternative is the AQ1200d and I was wondering if its worth it to try out the hifonics for more wattage or just go with the AQ because they're very reliable. Let me know what you think

well, cea only pertains to watts at 4ohm, so it is possible for an amp to be cea certified and not make watts at lower loads...the AQ is a proven amp..then again, maybe the new BRZ are just as solid as the dsc line. Its kind of what you prefer.. a proven amp, or the chance at a solid amp that is perhaps more power
