new headunit -> set gains again?

so my car got broken into and my headunit was stolen. So now i have to install my old pioneer premier p680mp headunit back in until i could get my hands on a Pioneer avic n2 headunit. I was wondering if i have to set my gains again using a dmm for both my amps? btw, my pioneer avic n2 was only 2v preout but my pioneer premier p680mp is 4v preout, does this have something to do with the gain?

Don't have to reset the gain, just don't turn it up as far as you would on the previous HU.

Turn it to the same volume you listen to normally. (Actual loudness, not # on the HU)
