New Head Unit

So i'm looking for a new head unit, I had an Alpine 9857 w/ the Ipod Cable for about 5 years, and was satisfied with that.

So I definitely don't want to spend more than $350, anything under $300 would be great. And it must be able to control/charge an Ipod.

I've been looking at 9887's but I would like to look at other brands too.

Suggestions?
