Been a lurker and reader for some time, finally decided to join.
Used to build systems starting way back in the early 80's. My first system was a Pioneer KP909G under dash deck, CD-5 7 band equalizer, 3 GM-120's, custom cables (you could only connect a front & rear amp to the equalizer as GM-120's had proprietary connectors), TSX-11 speakers in the rear, Philips 5 1/4" + 1" dome tweeter in the doors and a sub box with Philips 10" drivers. All installed into a VW Bus. I lived in a small town where people thought an equalizer/booster and a pair of 6x9's was considered "high-end", so I received a lot of WTF's from people who saw (and heard) my van.
Been out of the game for a long long time, but the itch is back. Much to my wife's chagrin, I'm sure.
