Hello all,

It's been quite a few years but I've caught the car audio bug again. I'm in the process of building a new system for my 07 Infiniti M35 (without Bose).

I've so far selected to go with Kicker components. I've purchased a Kicker ZX 400.1 to power 2 10" Kicker Comp VR 2-ohm subwoofers. Later on I'm going to add a Kicker ZX200.4 for the door speakers and will replace those with some 2 way components.

I'm in the process of trying to decide on how the sub enclosure should be built, firing forward or back. Not sure, the shops I've gone to all have different opinions. I've heard my trunk is sealed so it is difficult to get the right sound. I don't know.

Any way, wanted to say hello and see if you all had any advice on the box.

Welcome and a HO box would be ideal as i've tried sealed and ported in my m35 and finally settled on a HO box. Do know that pushing anymore than 500watts on this car is not ideal and will eventually blow the amp or lead to an alternator failure. Trust me on this after putting a 13w7 into it I found out the hard way and am using a 10w7 at the moment. Alternator upgrades aren't available whatsoever and if you manage someone to do some testing to see if they can do it your warranty is void and null which isn't too great for a highend luxury car.

See you have an M35, did it have the Bose system in it? If so, how did you get around the equalization problem? Did you come off the speaker wires from the HU, or after the Bose amp?
