Ok first question do u think it will handle 2600 watts daily? I have a hifonics 25th anniversary edition 2600@ 1 ohm 1700@ 2 ohms. I wanna run it at 2 ohms but I don't think I can since they only come in a dual 1 or dual 2 voicecoil options. If it can handle all my amp I'll give it 1 ohm

A dual 1 ohm sub can be run at 2 ohms. And I will be the first to ask, without bashing your equipment but.....why have that sub on a low quality amp? Probably won't do anywhere near rated, and risk clipping the signal.

Cause I've had that amp since 08 been in my closet since prolly 2011 so since I'm hoping back into car audio might as well get some use out of the thing ya know. I'll prolly use it for a little while then upgrade but to what is always the question lol

Cool dude, just be careful with your gains.

I run m'y Old Q with a ia20.1 at .5ohm for two years,so i think with your power and good ajustements a d2 sub and 1 ohm will be better for you,and you can change your amp for more quality if you want, and good 2000rms 1 ohm stable is a lot cheaper than a good 2000 2 ohm!

Why would u run it at 2ohm? After rise you will be lucky to see 1000watts. Then your going to over work the amp and clip and burn up your woofer and or amp. Get a d2ohm woofer and run the amp at 1ohm.

Well I wanted to run it at 2 ohms cause my is 1700 @ 2 the new rms on the q is 1750 but I didn't know that hifonics ****** really until I got back on here lmao oh well see what knew back in high school

And another thing I was thinking isn't 2 ohms more stable than 1?
if an amp is designed to run at 1 ohm, there's not reason not to do it. its fully stable.

PS I had hifonics brutus 2400 before on an FI Q15 wired to 1 ohm. Not even enough to tickle the sub. Weak as fk amps

If you know what your doing and striclty listening to music you can throw an amp with twoce the rated power of a sub and be fine. As long as it is a well made sub, and like i said you know what your doing. In other words im sure that sub can handle a real 3k daily no problem.

Hell im just excited/nervous about it being loud enough. What hz u think to tune my box 30?
let some one who knows what there doing build/design your box..

and run that amp at 1ohm. the sub will be fine as long as you dont use the gain as a volume knob!!!
