I had that thought and put 2 12" hcca's in the trunk, but I had no where near the power at that time To get spl out of them, my mistake with them was I built the box with too much port area, there was no impact behind the higher frequencies, had great sql, but nothing up high. The res freq. of my car is 49-50hz, so I always tune my boxes around 35hz, and every build I go up a freq, I'm thinking my next box is going to be tuned to 42hz, but that will only be a comp box.
