Finally pay day!!!! I am ordering my new box for 2 SA-12's from DC-Creations either tonight after work or first thing in the morning. I cant wait to get my new set up in my car and retire my 3 old 10" W6's, they are really clean and tite sounding subs but I am ready to try something different. I am looking foward to hear what 2 Sundown SA-12's in a ported enclosure will sound like in my car.

I got a Nakamichi PA-1500, it is rated at 1200watts RMS at 1 ohm, I am ordering the DVC 4ohm SA-12's and going to wire them to run 1 ohm so i should be feeding each sub 600 watts RMS. I originally ordered the NAK amp for the W6's, it worked really good with those, my W6's are the original W6's, they are only rated at 300 watts and are a 6ohm speaker but they are wired to run 1 ohm on 1 channel so the Nak amp was actually a little more than what those subs are rated for, but they are running taking it fine with the gain turned down and the bass knob turned down. I was wanting to try the SA-12's heard alot of good about those and was wanting to add more bass that I can really feel to my system.

Sounds like a good upgrade, you have lots of overhead with those SA's too if you ever want to up your power! post some pics when you get the new box and subs installed!

Well I thought of ordering another Nak amp and running them at 2ohm's at 800 watts each. Would two amps draw more power than 1 bigger amp?

What would be a good amp for these?

I didnt do it but this is how it is done. They were already done when I bought the box.

something around 2200-2500rms aq2200 or saz2500 come to mind as good matches..although theres cheaper budget amps..when i had my 2 sa12.s i ran them on 2 saz1000.s strapped

The SA's will do fine on 600 a piece OP. No need to upgrade amps because you're not going to hear much of a difference between 600 and 1000 anyway. And they should give you quite a bit more output than the w6's. And fyi, I've bought a few enclosure from Dustin and all of them were very nice. The guy knows how to get the most out of subs!
