new eD k's better than old?

Are these new flat cone eD k's gonna perform better than the old ones?? I think the old ones look better with the logo on them.

yes, they do look awsome... im guessing the overall sound is a tad better, but u can only know by hearing it.. but it uses less power, more displacement yada yada yada... going by the specs, yeh its a better driver but we all know u have to hear it to be certain.. as for me, i have faith in eD and could bet you all their new lines perform better than the old!

Jamc - i got my 12k for 215 shipped.. it was used though.. i understrand i may have paid a BIT more than going rate, but i needed it !! only listed to it for an hour since i got it though.. addy for the edesgin subs i forgot it going to order one 12.44 will it be worth the extra money to get 2 of them i mean will it be hell of alot louder (i know it will be louder b/c of 2 subs duh but would it be a better investment to get 2 subs insead of one) be powered by the jbl 600

yes, i belive it would be better! i have that exact setup (early 2003 k's) 2 12's w/ 2.5 cubes each ported @ 33hz powered by jbl 600.1 You would notic a big difference. peace

AND, if u did get 2...then get the 12.14...single 4ohm voice coils so u can wire them to 2 ohms instead of 1ohm. That amp will take it, but it'll be better to run it at 2ohms..plus there isn't any power advantage running it at 2ohms. Also, my friend just ordered to 10.14 k's and the 600.1 i'll let u know how it sounds...i know it'll be good. peace

more_spl, unfortunately I would like to disagree the we (GCA) "rapes you on th4e price of eD". Infact here is a comparison of price:

If the new ones had the logo, it'd be like my avatar... kinda tacky to me. I've tried various methods to put a logo, even the wording "elemental designs" on the front gasket, like phase linear's aliante, but the raw look suits best, in my opinion.
