OP,

See, the thing is man, I'm not worried if it performs well or poorly. I'm not in the market. HOWEVER, I am interested to know whether for the price it is a good alternative to some of the other 300 dollar range subs. It's got some pretty steep competition though, such as the OZ Matrix Elite, Diamond D6/D9, etc.

I'll admit, it does look like a beefy sub, and it looks better than some of their subs for build quality, but that cone does look cheap, and the surround is too big for my tastes. Why they didn't use a tall/narrow profile, I'll never know.

Good luck with your sub, and let us know how it does. If you can, try it ported and sealed, see how it sounds both ways.

I keep hearing people want videos. I have to ask, what do they want video of? The sub going through some test tones? I'll be glad to take a few vids with the video camera but what is it that people wanna see? I'm not sure what people can get from a video. The sudio on it will not be representative. Tell me what to get a video of this weekend and I will. Sorry if I'm behind the times.
