New door speakers?

i have some infinity 6002si door speaks, when i got them i learned a good lesson not to hurry, because when i did the darnflabbed screwdrive slipped and went through the cone, but it sounded okay, but about a week ago when i turn it up, it starts making a loud popping sound when the bass hits on some notes, its just the messed up one, would it be blown(it sounds like it)

if so name some good door speaks for less than 100$, if there are any good components let me know, my mounting depth is like 2-13/16" max, i was looking at some boston Coaxs like nx 67 or something how do those sound, the infinitys tweets are a little harsh for me what would be a speak with not so harsh tweet, i might can go over 100 if its worth it but dont know yet, and i dont have an component amp yet but might still get one but no time soon maybe later this summer or when skoo starts next year

I just bought some alpine type r componenets. I haven't put them in yet because I'm still glassing the door pods, but I desided that after comparing type s's to infinity's. i figured the type r's would be even better, than i listed to some mb-quarts //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif but it was way more money than i wanted to spend anyways. moral of the story, there will always (well, usually) be a better speaker that you can spend more money on.

btw, the typre r tweets are not harsh at all. thats what turned me off from the infinities.

would the type r fit? nothing fits on crutchfield except crappy ones, i might end up getting components, except i dont really want to cut a hole in the door panel, wher else could i mount them?

if i were you i go to zalytron.com and look at thier car audio section, they have some focal tweeters for 40 bucks, and just get some components too, the focal polyglass line is way better than any kind of coaxial- do not get coaxials- i hate them. you might spend 150-200 for a very very nice set of components

i just dont know if i want to cut holes in my door, and i dont want to do kick because those need extra work and i dont want to do those, i was looking at some polk momo comps, i dont thing re comps will fit, any one know

You've got to be willing to spend money/put in time for a really nice sounding setup..

i just want some good speakers for everyday listening

how are those type R speakers coax or there are some cheap components i might look into for around 100

so nonone noes anything about boston acoustics?

Look into some JVC coaxes, they have nice detailed vocals and decent midbass for well under $100 and don't require very much for mounting depth.

Go to a retailer and compare them to other coaxes and you will see what i mean.
