New Door Speakers....?

I have a 95 Grand Cherokee with the stock infinity gold sound system and the door speakers sound fairly good as far as mids and highs but they're blown and just not loud enough cuz i still hear more bass than sound, i have 2 L7 12's in a slot ported box with a 1200.1 and i need 4 new 6 1/2 speakers and wanted some others opinions and also should i get an amp to power these or use my head unit (Pioneer DEH-P6600) Thanks Alot!!

get mb quarts, there expensive but worth it, and then you can tell all your friends u got speakers with german engineering, that'll give ya an extra .23513135 db's lol

You want to amp them, defenitely.

as to what we can recommend, it depends on what you are looking for. Want SQ? You can look into several companies like diamond, oz audio, or a/d/s. Look for things with silk tweeters, or soft domes.

want spl? try stuff from alpine, infinity or others with aluminum or metal domes on the tweeters.

get focal if u budget is good enough. if not kicker makes great door speakers so ull have a whole kicker system! or just plain pionner makes crisp soundin componets!
