alright sorry for the crappy pic, but i been working on this all day and i just sat down and im not going back out right now to take another one..

anyway this is my new install, both doors are done.. cept for wiring them to the amps through the kicks... also my trunk is being redone atm.. so i havent had a chance to hear em yet, but i hope this will sound good

they are memphis msync mids... peerless 6.5 sls's... tang band 6.5 subs and vc100 tweeters.. i plan on crossing the memphis around 80-120hz... with about 100 watts (for now) the peerless will get 150 watts and be crossed around 60-220hz.. and the tang bands will be getting 100 watts and be crossed from.. as low as possible (if any highpass) to around 100hz my guess.. whatever sounds best... any comments.. suggestions.. feel free

yeah its not *perfect* but in person it doesnt look bad at all considering how much i had to cut the door panels and the metal behind it.. i tried working with the holes int he doors already as much as possible and expanded those... still gotta paint the screws, clean off some of the sawdust ect.. but im pretty amazed at how air tight i was able to get it.

just better sound good or ill cry cause there is no going back lol

hopefully my IB install will be slightly less tedious as this was.

yeah i hear ya on runnign the different speakers, i wanna put dual sls's in but im kinda broke right now.. if i ever wanna swap em out.. it will be a straight swap (which i prolly will do eventually) but bass distortion is harder to pick out generally speaking.. so they should blend ok... and the reason im overlapping xover points is so hopefully they'll all blend "together"

thats the idea anyway.

Well, my buddy runs different speakers in his ride, but are more seperated, like comps in the front doors, and a couple different tweets in the a pillar and then rear fill, all different, except the comps being the same. His sounds really good actually, but never heard a setup with all different speakers on different power levels in one door.

Hope it works out as it looks like you have some time in them.

well the reason for the different power levels (besides my amps) are the sls's are alot more efficient than the tangs.. and . the sls's can take about 150 watts crossed at 65-75hz... but the tangs have more xmax and can take basically 100 watts at 20hz and still not bottom out... even if they cant play that low.. hopefully it will give the illusion that my sub is more forward, than in my trunk and maybe fill in some midbass while doing it.

for the price i absolutely love them, and am not looking to replace them anytime soon

not as laid back as most silk tweeters, but still sound very smooth and honestly i think i like them better than my cal 25's (i know ppl are gonna say im crazy)

plus the crossovers and wire they come with are worth the price alone (i paid $35 shipped) +0db -3db on tweets and can be crossed at 3 or 6k

yeah, i know i was thinking about sealing the midrange off but would of required a ton of work.. unless i just wrapped it in sound deadender lol.. another reason i didnt was so hopefully i could squeeze some midbass out of it. i do have alot of sound deadener behind the midrange tho.. (heopfulyl that might help reflections some)

dont depress me bang lol

plus i do have dual 30 band eq's so.. i should be able to tune alot of problems out.. im nto expecting this install to be the best *ever* i just want it to be better than the average person that foes to best buy lol

well, your midrange is getting buttraped your mis-matched midbasses. I don't think it likes that.

It's like 6x9s off the rear deck getting rammed by subs in the trunk.

yeah well with the amount of airspace it has, since these are opened into the door, not sealed off in the panel part.. i highly doubt htey're gonna be fighting for "air space", but do you think sealing off the midrange with even sound deadener would be a good idea? or is that just a bad idea in general, cause thats the only way i see it happening anytime soon.

and like i said before, odds are the tangs are only temporary.. they will be another set of sls's eventually.. when im not broke.. and i would actuall ylike to replace the msyncs with execlusives... mmmmm peerless
