Dell has yet to do me or any body else I have bought one for wrong. If I could build my own laptop I would, but i'm stuck using dells. They are better than HP/Compaq/Acer / everything else IMO

cool, the mini 9 is a bit too small for me and through my EPP discount i can get a fully loaded mini 12 for just under $400 shipped

I agree, it is very hard typing on it. I got it for $99 with my XPS m1330 is the only reason I picked it up.

I didnt really look at the mini 12, but I have ALWAYS been a fan of 13.3" notebooks. perfect size, especially for a student who has to carry it all the time, and program on it all day.

IMO the 12 is much nicer, it uses a regular 2.5" hard drive(so you can upgrade) and has an option for a 6 cell battery for 6+ hours of life

for $99 i would have picked up the 9 as well, could always resell it for $200

Like I said I havent looked at it.

on the other hand the mini 9 has upgradable hard drive as well I just bought a Runcore 32gig SSD for it that supposedly has 8x the read/write speed of the stock drive. I also have 2 gig of ram on the way for it.

After I get done it should run as well as my old m140 for all of $300 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

ssd is where its at, i run a 30gb as my OS drive on my main pc and the thing is cool, quiet and fast(and i switched out a raptor). too bad they still cost about $ $3-5 per gb(for even the low end drives), but i'm hooked

I had to pay $120 for my 32 gig one for the mini, but it is badass, at least from the videos.

I'm still waiting on SSD price to fall, I just picked up 3tb of SATA drives to use, I been in IDE mode since forever. Kinda failed as a nerd, because I waited so long to adapt to them.

Nope, I don't. Just the laptops. I got the same deal with the 1330 and the Mini 9. The 140 is my girl's laptop.
