New Custom PC Build or Pre-Built PC

I am wanting to get a new desktop computer. I was thinking of building another PC, but I was also thinking of getting a pre-built PC. I already have a few pieces for the build, picked out. And I already have a pre-built in mind. I want a pre-built because the whole PC will have warranty and not like the custom one, which each component will have its own warranty. And the pre built PC has some stuff I am looking for, in which the custom one won't. And I want a custom one, because most of the parts are better than the built one, but the custom is a little bit more money.

Here is the pre built one:

Newegg.com - HP Pavilion P6610F (BM417AA#ABA) Athlon II X4 635(2.9GHz) 4GB DDR3 750GB HDD Capacity ATI Radeon HD 4200 Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

Some of the custom components:

Newegg.com - AMD Phenom II X6 1075T Thuban 3.0GHz 6 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 125W Six-Core Desktop Processor HDT75TFBGRBOX

Newegg.com - ASUS M4A88T-V EVO/USB3 AM3 AMD 880G HDMI USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

Ill never buy a pre built......you just get too much junk inside, low end hardware, really poor software(bloatware)

Coincidently I built an AMD PC for a friend yesterday,It ran really well (my first AMD build)

Phenom II X4 955,Asrock mobo,GSkill ram,500GB HD Evga GPU,coolermaster case took an hour of my time and cost just a little more than that HP

I run an Intel personally (i7 950) but really enjoy shopping and hand building my own computer

Im no overclocking expert but its fun to build from scratch - Keep an eye out for sales and deals

and u can really save a bundle..........good luck

I just ordered a new computer direct from hp but picked how I wanted it. Maybe you could go that route if you want the entire computer to be under warranty. You will probably feel limited in options but its better than pre-built and you get the warranty

If you have minimal PC-building skills and/or you use your PC mainly for emails and web browsing, a pre-assembled PC is a better choice because it works right out of the box. I love building PCs but it isn't exactly a 5-minutes job going from parts to a welcome screen. Do realize that there are people who doesn't understand or care to understand PC hardware, my friend tried to stuff a PCI network card into his PCI-e x16 slot, no wonder it doesn't work.
