New Component Set

I am looking into getting a 6.5 component set. They will be ran off headunit power until spring. Looking for strong midbass and bright highs. Budget is around $150.

Looked at the

CT Sounds Meso 6.5 comp set and the Hertz Audio DSK 6.5"s.

I am leaning towards the CT Sounds but i am open to suggestions for any others in price range.

And not looking for any used equipment at the moment.

I'd get some crescendo pwx and some tweeters with inline crossovers so it sets you up for a nice active setup later on.

Just wire both parallel OR just have the front head unit power to the tweet and rear head unit power to the mids to squeeze a bit more power. should be superior to a low end component set.

These will only get better with power added along with an active crossover network used along with time alignment, EQ and deadening. Would be vastly superior to the choices you listed. Just wait till the 4 ohm comes back on stock. Or if you plan on doing a big setup do the 8 ohm and run 4 in each door later.

Polk Audio Db series. If you can find those, they sound pretty nice. I run their coaxial speakers in my truck. So I can only imagine their comps would sound just as good when installed/mounted properly.

Not planning on running a huge setup. Any idea how long it could be til the 4 ohm come in stock? Or any other 6.5s that would be close? I think that an active setup with ta would be awesome. Would a mini dsp 2x4 be capable of running active and time alignment?

Stop wasting your money man. 150 for a decent compbset just wont happen. Not to mention powering them qith 1/10th of thepowet theyhey can hadle will sound terrible to boot..

I am going to buy an amp and do sound deadener in the spring. It cant sound any worse than the stock speakers. If you wanna buy me a full comp set and amps it would be greatly appreciated. Im a broke *ss collage student so funds are tight. This will get done right in time.

Read post #3 .

You can't shut me up however, I'd love for you to help someone pay for comps. It would be the best thing you've ever done on here.
