New car, new build, any input on cars for 149.9 bassrace?

Alright, well Im beginning a new build (ASAP) and im throwing around a couple of ideas. I know for sure I would like to compete in 149.9 bassrace yet again this year. Im looking for a cheap car (2500 or less preferably) to be my dedicated build car until SBN. I am deciding between 4 15's in a blow through or 2 18's walled. Im curious what cars/trucks/vans I should look at, here are some I have found:

2000 or older Ford Ranger

93 or older S10

Geo Metro

Older VW GTI

Mitsubishi Eclipse (This I probably wouldn't wall)

Im just looking for opinions so throw me a couple ideas. Thanks!

Lol, I liked the price point of the geo's. But it would take a lot of work to get it to look decent and in the end, Its still a geo. But It could have a sick system lol

it being a geo is part of the fun of it, its like nateberrier's chevette when he had the 18 in it, the looks and dropped jaws makes it all worth it.

Lol, well after seeing jblcamry's vids of theirs im thinking it may need some bracing where the roof meets the window
