but belive it sooner or later they will make it illegal to have a sub in ur car the way things are goin.....

That would be sorta hard to do. I mean, with all of the high-excursion 6.5"ers being produced today, someone could throw 8 6s in their trunk and be just as loud as a pair of 10s or 12s. So, they would have to ban the frequencies themselves from being played rather than banning a speaker over a certain size.

And believe me, I don't play my bass loud in residential areas as to not disrupt those around me, but if City Hall passes a law banning certain sizes of speakers you better believe I would park right outside their building with ten to twelve high-excursion 6"ers in my trunk playing full blast asking "Well, what are you going to do now? These are the same size speakers that your car has!"

MY opinon about this whole thing is... During the day unless u got freakin like 150's-160 dbs drivin around with ur system bumpin is OK!

UNLESS ur at a stop light... when your at a stop light and you have an OK system you can shake the car behind you or infront of you... or even the house or bussness next to you. THATS simple rude.

Now at night.... if i drive by a group of people I turn it up so they hear and see me ( i like attention) but other then that... its down or the sub is turned off on my HU.

Oh, com'on, you know.........the "distance" test. "OK, now lets see how far away from the car we can get and still be able to hear the bass" (for some reason all my friends think that it's cool to be heard from far away, so that's mainly what they worry about, and ofcourse this test is done in a large empty parking lot).

i'm not initiating a flame war (there are plenty on this board as it is) so this is my last post on the topic.

First off, other people most likely don't want to hear your music. If the only thing about you that makes people notice you is your blaring music, then you need to work on getting a personality or some plastic surgery. Personally, if I want somebody to notice me, I turn down the stereo and yell out the window at them. Its a lot more direct than distorting some hip hop music as you drive by.

Secondly, you need to pick up a copy of "English as a Second Language". The rules of American grammar and spelling can be quite tricky, so I'd suggest you study a few hours every night until you get it right.

Finally, its not sleep that makes me cranky. Ignorance in any form p*sses me off.

for me its pretty easy, I turn down the subds at stoplights, then get moving and I turn them back up, most of the time though when I am driving I am on the move, no stop and go, and furthermore, its usually on two way roads where I am the only person going my way, so whoever is behind me 'might' be able to hear me, but it won't be bad since we are both moving, I would much rather keep my music in my car, hence buying dampening( that shit is an addiction I want more already)

Honestly i think the original poster has no business in complaining, i work in delaware where the fine is 500 dollars on the spot first offense, second offence it bumps up to 700.

Harsh rules, thats why you obey them, work the dampning, and close yourwindows and bump as loud as you please.

I live between 2 two towns where everone goes to on weekends, I don't know what the punishment is in my town but it's little as hell so I really doubt it's much, but in one of the towns it's ridiculous and I really don't see why they're being so harsh. 5 days in jail or community service for loud music. No fines, just which ever they decide right for you.
