I'm sure if Government Motors (aka GM) and other US automakers made cars that weren't pieces of shit, he may have considered it. My last 10 cars have been "imports" because there isn't one domestic that costs under $50k that isn't a total piece of crap.

Wow, I'm a Ford fan but that is just completely unnecessary in this thread. That and the Accord is made in the US. Yeah, the profits go back to Japan, but at least they're giving an American a job.

Uhh...go drive a new Fusion, Taurus, Mustang, CTS, Malibu, etc. Hell even the new GM SUVs are a lot nicer. People need to get out there and see what's currently available, rather than going by assumed prejudices (that were warranted back then) over the past 10-20 years. Things have changed. Honda and Toyota no longer make the "best" cars. And, usually, that all depends on how people take care of them anyways, not considering major recalls.

O/P, I have a brand new Alpine PXE-H650 integration processor. I can sell it to you for $250 shipped ($10 above cost). You can use this unit in a bunch of ways. It can smooth out the EQ of the factory stereo and allow you to make adjustments. This may give you the better sound you seek. Then if you are still unsatisfied, you can add an amp and speakers/subs later. Properly deadening your doors and interior will help as well. PM me if you want this unit...
