well life's over for this enclosure as it's coming apart at every seam, just to clarify JayDubb did NOT build this sorry ass box simply passed it along in hopes of not wasting material! This is from a local shop after the carpet was pulled to figure out if it was worth saving, after installing it and watching it flex/spread/flap needless to say it's not! Now I'm waiting for the rain to stop so i can put everything back the way it was.

not a joke. the cutout is too big for my subs. no where to put the screws. ........ how can you fix it

If the cutout out is to big there is only two ways to fix it.

1. New box

2. Make an ugly adapter ring to "make it work"

well ill make due if he can cut me a ring. i dont want to put him through too much but this would have even been too big for my xfls. i have the old trim ring off one.

@pro\-rabbit; how much would some rings cost me or could you trade? because i cant believe this is too big for the lvl 4's and my xfl ring.

They are pretty cheap even on ebay or else where really. Heck you can whip one up rather quickly if you wanted to with a simple jig saw.

Brotip: cut the ring out to the correct size, and then cut the ring in half so it's in 2 pieces. Put the 2 pieces inside the box and attach them to the underside of the baffle. That way it'll just look like the sub was mounted like normal.

its not thaat big its just enough where the screws wont hold and it will leak... my week keeps getting worse. i shoulda measured it there before i traded him but oh well.

No I didn't mean big enough that your baffle becomes recessed, I mean that the sub still sits on the baffle but the screws will go into the ring thats mounted on the underside.
