new box to stop rattle, ideas?

My trunk is rattling way too much and sound deadener is no help. Right now i have a custom 15" facing upwards, port also facing upwards(only way it will fit) I would like to know what kind of box should i make to prevent as much trunk rattle as possible...

your not gonna stop trunk raddle from a box. your best bet is to seal it off from the trunk subs facing forward...

ahh yes, and that is a problem because my hole that connects the trunk and cabin is very small and i am not about to start cutting thing apart.

I used some CLD tiles from a widely recommended brand(dont remember anymore) but then I came to the conclusion that it will be too much work, as there is many items on the top of the trunk(speaker, metals that connect to safety-open, other dumb crap). So far i think facing it forward with port back is one option and then the other is sub+port facing back and then somehow cutting MDF and making a sort of port on the outside of the box connecting to the back wall of my trunk, thus sealing it off.

Your best bet to stop those rattles would be sub back and maybe aero port side... Up and Up is killing a lot of your output, too. You either want the bass to push off the rear of the trunk and roll into the cabin, or if your seats folded down, then you could face the sub/port into the cabin and seal off the trunk... Which is a ton of work! I am getting a lot of rattles now that I took my 6x9s out of the rear deck. I am going to try to foam it, if that doesnt work, I will be putting the stock 6x9s back in, just to close the holes.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure CLD tiles are used to add mass and lower the vehicle's cabin gain/resonant frequency. What you need is some old fashion deadener, which Coleman sells for a great price.
