So I was told to build a box with 3 2.75" x 2.75" x 20"(deep) ports...

I ended up making one wiiide deep one. Sexy, right? I think so.

Here she is, in all of her hot and unsandedness and unholiness.

When I get the sub I'll cut the 13.98" hole with a jig and paint it black.

;-D

Soliddddddd. And... my port is going to work beautifully, thanks.

ahah ;-P

For a box that size, I would gather a lot more port area will be needed. What sub is going in? Also having a port with a larger ratio of 1:8 is a bad Idea. There will be increased port noise about 90% of the time.

From my experience, you're going to need to do it over.

Okay, seriously, what is port noise?

And I'm putting a 15" RL-p in it on 850 watts.

My cousin and I did this in about 30 minutes. I'm sure we could remove the front piece and cut an extra inch to make the port wider if need be.

Are you serious? Noise that comes from the port...

When you have a lot of air being pushed threw a small space, turbulence is created and you will get a rushing flop/whistle sound. Basically it sounds like chit.

And the port is way to small for an RL-p 15"

You need at least 35 square inches of port area in a 1:8 ratio or smaller.

Also what is it tuned to?
