New box for my box

So i commissioned JLS auto sound to build me a new subwoofer box for my 08 scion xb... here are some of the pics so far. all of the pics can be had here.

here's a little progress. Starting to lay things out

here's the box in the back of my car

we wanted to try something a little different since i have 3 amps we made 2 of the subs sealed and one ported...

two of the amps will go here

one on each side... the other one doesn't match.. it's kinda ugly so we are putting it under the box in the little compartment under the floor

that's it so far... i'll have more pics up as they come. they said it should be done by Saturday

I dunno... seems to me like you get a different extension and sound from a sealed vs. ported enclosure, running one of each, or two in this case might fill a small void others may find with just one type of the other.

But I'm a noobie so I'm just pondering lol

why not just make a big enough box for all 3 type r's and port that box? that would clearly be better then 2 sealed and 1 ported. Ive never heard of that..

so you really are doing 2 sealed one ported... in one box? first of all, thats a no no and second of all that port is way to **** small, even for one speaker.

a sealed sub will sound different from a ported sub. together, they will most likely sound like garbage. sorry mang.

LOL shit back to the drawing board... how big should the port be.. should i say **** the port and just seal it up?

your better off making them all sealed in one big box or port all of them.. the way you have it setup will cause a lot of cancellation issues. 42hz is way high for daily also. im not sure what type-arrs liek to be tuned to but ima go on a limb and say 32 hz???
