New Audiopipe sub...

im not knocking it, it just seams like that motor has more potential than that, my 3" vc 15 is built for 3k rms, and will eaisly handle 5k for burps, just seams like they could do more for the size of the motor,

looks like it would be a fun sub to play with though.

I'm curious about their new "Edge Extension Technology". The surround goes all the way to the end of the basket to allow more cone area.

Maybe they really underrated it? My 15 also has a 3" VC and can take 3k rms, 6k burp.

that surround does sound idea sounds pretty slick only thing i wonder with that is where the edges are to allow access to the mounting holes could be a weak point on the surround.
Plus when you are mounting the sub onto the box, it is very easy to have your drill slip off the screw and poke a hole in the surround since it is right next to the hole. I wonder if it actually makes the sub more efficient. More cone area is never a bad thing nonetheless.

good point, and im not sure the gained cone area would really make that much a difference. its only getting somewhere around 1/2 inch more. i would love to see some tests with this though.

I guess this technology is pending a patent by Audiopipe. I think I just read something on Audiopipe's website about this technology allowing 15% more cone area. If so, that is a very awesome thing for car audio.

Wow  kewl
Didnt realize audiopipe actually made something different than the candy subs.
Bout time. The new BF series subs look very nice. The AQX amps look effing sexy. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/boink.gif.91933e72f927f2cefc79aff02573090c.gif
