New audio system

Hey guys i need some help with my new car, i want to buy a whole new system for my 306. I want to get a nice systme in there with out going over the top because it is only a 306.

The thing that i am confused about is that the CD players i have been looking at their specs are 4 x 60w with a maximum of a 240w output. But the speakers that i have been looking at can take up to 300w max, a i looking at this all wrong but does that mean that the speaker will only be using a max of 60w of a possible 300w? and to reach the potential of the wattage i would need a amp?

Also, what size of speakers would i need in the front? 165mm?

ok well if u plan on spending that much money on speakers i hope you as well plan on spending money ona good amplifier for them. and does your car have stock positioning for comps if not and you dont know how to install plan on spending a lil more for installation

I have no real idea what i am doing, so getting those speakers would be pointless with no amp?
