new and need some help

well first off hello everybody! i'm looking forward to gaining my car audio knowledge! i'm completly new to all of this and i need suggestions!

i'll give you guys what i'm looking for and a price range and i'll let your imaginations run wild!

what we're working with here... 4 door 1987 honda accord

what i'm looking for... a deck with an ipod hook up and the power to navigate my ipod through the deck. i listen to hardcore and that stuff so some clear sounds but i have my days and nights when i like to listen to rap/hip-hop so good bass is inculded in the mix.

my budget is ruffly around the 700-800 range.

so what do you guys have to say?

how does this set up look?

front- blaupunkt GTc542

rear- blaupunkt GTc652

amp- alpine m450

subs- 2 alpine swe 12"

deck- jvc kd-pdr50

it comes out to be 720.

good? or no good

that set up would be decent just for a little bass....but me i would prolly run one sub with the 450 in a ported box prolly a sub around 400 watt to 450 depending on brand

what about one type r swr 12"

and am i going to need a seperate amp for the components?

umm well actually that amp might push the sub pretty good...i have a type r on the old 1200 watt sony ...the one that only puts 500 at 2ohms...and my type r flexs my back windows...so if u wanna give that a try i wouldnt say its a horrible choice...u just have to build the box the right way

ya get a ported...make sure its gonna be at between 32 and like 34 hz i would say...mine is loud there.....if the 450 dont work then i would go just a bit higher...like 600 rms...the type r could prolly take more then that ....but must run at 1 ohm or 2

well i guess that amp is 400 rms at 2...so i would look into a kx750.1 that is a solid amp...and should sound decent on a type r if u put the gain and the box set up just right
