I have a 96 dodge neon and the deck and speakers are all shot so i must buy new ones here soon. I was looking at an alpine deck and alpine speakers. I have a budget of $400. So i was only going to get two 5" speakers for the front and nothing for the back. Because i already have an 8" coustic sub and a Phoenix gold M25 amp to go in the trunk. Tell me what you think of the deck and speakers.

5" Speakers-

I read in another post about etronics.com and the same speakers were only $49.99 and the deck $219.99 Is this legit? If its true then it puts me below $300 and i can probly afford a new 10" or 12" sub to go with it. Are alpines still good on subs also?
These ones caught my eye.

the subs are really on your own taste some say there great and some hate them i personaly tried the new ones in a small sealed box i didnt like them others do them in large ported boxs and like them. I will try that soon and judge them then. That is a nice hu though.

I think the 2nd sub i posted, the type-s, would be better with the amp i have since i wouldnt be able to power the type-r one. But anyways that is the 12" one and there is a 10" one for $1 less and has the same peak and RMS power. So what difference is there between the 10" and 12"?

12"

10"

(I looked at the alpine sight and on there product list this was a 10" but its posted as a 12" at etronics.com, which one is right?)

For $250 I think I would rather have the Pioneer DEH-P7700MP
