new amp troubleshooting

I just put in a new amp for my front speakers. nothing was changed from the previous amp. Now whenever I use anything in my car that would use a little current (ie brake lights, power windows... etc) the music drops in volume significantly for an instant then comes back up, kinda like lights dimming on bass hits. Is this a common problem? Any ideas on how to fix this? It is in a 98 saturn with stock electrical system (weakass alt) so that could be a source of the problem. Any help would be appreciated

Do the big 3 to help with the flow of elctricity in your car. If that doesn't work, start researching a different battery or a HO alt.

first reground your amp.....

yeah sounds more like a ground issue or a short. a amp for components should draw that much juice.....
