New amp made in China or old school made in US

I'm wanting to build a low budget system and was looking at amps. I've been reading recommendations on the ppi black ice series and like the pricing but I really like the idea of old school amps like ppi , us amps and coustic. Would it be better to go new with warranty or old without warranty but have something unique? Do the old school ones sound as good or just old and outdated?

I don't know that anyone could make that decision for you. I myself unless I am buying a high end new amp will always revert back to my old amps which have always been dependable and great sounding (Us Amps/ Phoenix Gold). The only thing new amps have on the quality old amps is class d technology and maybe a warranty.

I'm sure the old stuff is still great and awesome buuuut not so sure if the many previous owners are as awesome AKA.. risk of getting abused equipment ready to die anyday soon. If you buy old, make sure you get it from a reputable and trusted source that treasures their amps. Newer stuff is still decent too but has a nice warranty with it to cover your butt.
