ya i know and i built one for my old car, but doesnt fit in my new one good at all, so i was gonna use these sealed prefabs that i had layin around until i got around to building a new one, but maybye ill throw them back in there, althought they have worked fine in these boxes before, so i dont think that it is a box problem, i spose i could have them wired wrong inside the boxes, but i doubt it.HX2's love to be in big, ported boxes.
I think themainjam is on the right track. From the sounds of it your subs are "out of phase". Each sub is producing sound waves. But, one is going out while the other is going in, the sound will cancel and you will get little to no output. Reverse the polarity of 1 sub to bring both in phase and the two subs work together to produce the sound.try what i said it wont hurt and you will know right off.......
sounds like polarity to me.sounds like the polarity of the subs is messed up. try reversing the pos and neg of sub "b"
so + goes to +"a" and -"b"
and - goes to -"a" and +"b"
it works for my kickers...
