What company and size should I go with if I am planning on running about 3k power or a little more? No budget as of right now but keep it cheap.

DC, Singer, Mechman, or Excessive amperage.

Get as big as your budget will allow for. I wouldn't cheap out on an alternator though unless you like the chance of being stranded and swapping alternators.
