New Alternator

Hell all, I am looking into purchasing a HO alternator for my 2002 Nissan Altima. I am running a Hifonics bx1500d and an 85 x 4 channel watt amp right now. I am having some problems with dimming. How powerful of an alternator do you think I need? Also if anyone can post links to a couple sites where I can buy a HO alternator that would be great. thanks

you will prob need an alt around 170 or 180 amps to GUARENTEE no dimmage... but sometimes you just need a rewind for the alternator which could add up to 30 Amps or so.. check with a local alternator/battery replacement shop to see how much it is to rewind your alternator, as for some web sites on new ones, i am not sure... but the best prices i think for anything car audio is EBAY... get stuff pretty cheap and if you're smart, brand new stuff for half off.. good luck
