New Alpine

They need to bring back the motorized face with tilting functions. They also need to stay with the 2row/2button instead of the 3button/3row design. I love my CDA-9835 model. Too bad the face is worn out and scratched up. I want a new face for it then it'd be perfect. Best Alpine HU made imo.

Yea, My Swing Face is still looking good and never had a problem with it. I think most of the bad ones I heard were operator induced. You can't press on it with 50lbs of force and expect it to keep working.

Tip for the face. Get some of that clear thin film cut to fit. Works like a charm and not a scatch on it.

Dont know if this has been posted. I was just checking sites looking for updates.

as far as the ipod deck, it does not have a cd player.. fyi.

and for the double din with nav.

I have seen it, I suppose its a cool deal. but we will have to see if they actually sell.

All v12 amps are discontinued, so now its just the vpower line and they added some to it. and then there higher line stayed the same.

imprint is a 31band eq with auto eq, and time alignment. cool piece.

The Ipod Display is a Fireware update that will work with all Pulse Touch displays.
I would like to see that Nav fit in there too. Not like there is a lot of room in there for it.
Where did you hear this? I've been searching for info on it. Wondering if it would work with my d300???

anyone have a date for the 9887? i know it says june but im looking for a specific date, as well as the new type x components?
Russ
Got the little email update filled out with crutchfield now.. I'm thinking either the 9887 or the H650 will be a good option for me.. I can easily lose the oem 2din unit though so I'm indifferent. 6-channel DTA looks pretty nice.. If it will allow me to go active with front components. Plus the Audyssey technology gets rave reviews in the home theater biz.

With all my griping about the missing-link in head units these days, I'm thinking these two new additions are specifically for that.. First words in Cfields description reads "Alpine's best-sounding CD receiver"... so technically it doesn't mean better than the F1 since it technically is a DVD receiver.. But still.. That's some statement. Is it a 9255 killer though? hmmmmmm Maybe 80% of the 9255's SQ, but 200% more tuning capability with the Imprint software (separate installer item).

Anyone else waiting patiently as I am for these new goodies? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif

"Best sounding..." Riiiiiiiiiiiiiight. A HU shouldn't "sound" like anything but what it's fed and Alpines have always been good about that. Most flexible and adjustable? Without a doubt. In fact this is exactly what I wanted in a unit when I was in the market for a new one about 6 mos ago. Its basically a 9815 with the new iPod connection. I may get one if I keep having trouble with my current digital processor. I doubt that the Imprint kit will find it's way into my car though. I've yet to hear anything good about any of the "auto-correct" setups. Maybe this one will be different, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

Hell, Alpine doesn't even have it on their site. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
