New Alpine Subs

the new alpine type R thin subs came out, the SWR T10's and T12's, was wondering if anyones tried em out yet, and if so, Id love to hear about your experience with em. Thanks

Never tried them or seen them yet, but they have a 4" coil and neo magnets so it's beefy on paper.

Think its possible they can sound the same as the deeper normal SWR subs? Im not sure how the neo magnets and voice coil relate to the sound of a sub, the voice coil is power right?

The Old JBl GTI subs were very thin and had a 4" coil. They were really nice. I have one sitting around somewhere.

I'm sure it plays very similar to the SWR subs. Neo magnets are different than the more common ferrite magnets. Neos I think are stronger magnets. So they can use smaller amounts than a ferrite magnet. What do you mean the voice coil is power?

i was at an audio shop 2 weeks ago and they said that alpine was still waiting on some of the patents on that sub so they haven't released them yet.

the 4 inch voice coil relates to how much power it can take right? or does it alter how it sounds too?
