New additions to the Team Kicker family..

Thanks tracy!!!!
The whole team appreciates all your help in getting us accepted into your family. You can expect BIG things from us this year!!
100% agreed //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I can say that I personally plan on letting the wang out in 06! I was looking at running kicker this year either way it goes... and those maxi/ANL fuseholders are absolutely *awesome*. I'll never use another fuseholder!

I had great experience with the dx700's back in 04, very strong amps indeed.

congrats. But if after all the "id take a type r over an l7" that you guys said(and I'm mean a few folks not the ENTIRE TEAM)....just to make that clear. Some hypocrytical(sp?) advice ahead in the future?
Anyhow, congrats.

and let me add just to stop the Type R/Kicker battles. Both are great woofers, just with the addition of the CVX this year, it will make for some great head to head comparisons. And like mentioned, just because they have Kicker as support, does not mean they have to use Kicker exclusively. Each car, and installation could vary on what the end user wants and needs to compete on his level.

But, also mentioned, the L7 and L5 have been totally redone for 06, so this adds new meat to the table. But, they do not have to use Kicker only, so what works best for them, is clearly their choice.
I will own up to saying the type R has its advantages over the L7. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

That being said... the older L7's *are* louder woofers than the type R's, but the power handling in a low tuned box was much greater with the R, due to the essentially bottomless design. The L7's remained better fart woofs, while the R definitely sounded better and, relatively speaking, took more abuse. The L7 had more mechanical issues, while the 2" coil on the R limited it thermally.

The new L7's look like they have headed in the right direction, for sure. They would seem to be a much better street beater than years past... but of course, this is speculation until I have the woofs in my hand (which will be soon!).

You won't see any BS coming from this end... if the L7's prove to be a better woofer for a daily beater, they will get my nod. If they can handle the abuse of the type R while getting even as loud as years past... they will be one of, if not *the* best daily beater woofs out there.

The amps have definitely always been solid, but thats a different discussion //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I look forward to reppin' kicker in the lanes, and have to thank the guys at kicker for the opportunity //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif

And of course.. ryan... your a crazy dude (if you guys only knew the stories...), but you get respect from me for putting this together //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

this will be one loud yr for us and kicker //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif im juss so eager to get my hands on some L7s.

Let me tell ya....these things are AWESOME. The pair we put in the civic are off the chain!

What happened with MD?
MD........MD

They are in the background somewhere. Honestly, they keep pushing dates back and i'd be lucky to see a 10" sub some time in june. Not to mention the price keeps changing considerably.

They are in the back of my mind, but are fading away unfortunately. Not to say they are gone completely, but we just needed a company that had a better foundation and offered awesome stuff.

BTW, i can still run MD if i decide to do so, we don't have to run kicker everything.

thanks again guys for the awesome words..Mark, I think you'll like the additions done on the L7, and you all need to try the CVX...I hope you'll like it too. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Does the CVX perform similarly to the L7, just in a round version?

If so, i'll pick one of those up and test it head-to-head with the type-r //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I've seen you saying that the CVX is for sealed apps though, so that had me thinking.
