D300 and PXA-H700 HELP?

well installed the H700, i have my radio working since i have my fronts amped. NOW when i put a DVD or a CD nottin happens i get the DVD to play on my screen, but no SOUND? same with CD? is there something missing? i mean i had it hooked up before just straight too the harness and it worked fine. just NOW it dosnt? do i need to get FIBEROPTIC cable is that what i am missing? from that? or is there something wrong?

Your antenna lead and turn on lead are wired wrong. Switch them, and it'll work.

well what i am using to give voltage to my amp is through the PXAH700 on remote Out. not using wires from teh brain of the screen?

But if you have the H700's remote on coming from the D300's antenna lead rather than the turn-on lead, then the H700 will shut off as soon as you switch from radio.

the wires that are hooked up too the D300 brain are... Display, AiNet, antenna, Power plug *ground, Acc, Constant* are hooked up.

and then i have on the

processor the RCA's for FRONT 1 and FRont 2, AiNet, Remote for *PXA-h701 controller*, the constant, ground and REmote OUT are hooked up as well.

is there something missing in this link?

well the H700 dosent shut off when i play cds just cant hear them!!!? would it be where i need to hook up that FIberoptic wire fron the HU itself too the Processor?

Seriously, many of the people over there have been playing with the H700 since the day it was released and could give you better advice than I could. I'm not very familiar with the Ai-net connection, and what all is/isn't transferred through that connection.

I have the H700. If you're using ai-net, then sound should go through the H700 brain, so your dvd player (alpine monitor) should be an output, into the input of the h700. Are you sure you set up your H700 right? Do your amps turn on when you switch to dvd or cd?

I have the H701 which is similar to the H700.....it needs the fiber optic cable (that's how it is able to decode dolby digital surround). After you connect the fiber optic cable (Get a cable with heavy duty connections...the cable is entireley digital, it's the connections that matter) you will need to use your controller to select the input. You do this by pressing "Setup", then "Select input", then "Fiber Optic 1" or which ever of the 3 fiber optic slots you use.
