New 6.5s for Doors

yeah i know peeps don't think much about lanzars but their mids are better than u think.. i have a set of them on my ht in metal box (its a indoor out door speaker) and basically its a component set in a box had them like 10 yrs they sound great..

My hertz XLs. They stopped making them and if a dealer has a set they are selling cheap. This was a 150db car.

that car is no where near 150 in the video..

in 150db car the pressure created from the subs is so intense it affects the midranges ability to play loud and clean.

that's why its a good idea to use prosound drivers. much stiffer suspensions and can handle much more input power.

Um yes that was a 150db car. The mids are not getting dirty. It's your ears. They are stressed.

no dude a 150 DB car is WAY loud than that. even from that far you would hear the pressure with the doors open.

and YES when the doors are closed the pressure on the diaphragm kills transient response..

pwx are good if paired with silk domes that can reach down low. Otherwise go with UNs, they are generally overall A LOT louder and brighter sounding. like a 6.5 will be louder than two pwx 8s.
Soft domes I have now are crossed at 2.5k with ease. I feel like what I have now is loud enough but one I get more power it's going to not. Id rather not get pwxs honestly but it has been a while since I've had them.

I'd get un's if they're not too much. I have 4 and the only lack is low end but they're 6.5s
I'm trying to find a good 2 pairs that can do good low end as well because I enjoy midbass as well but enjoy vocals as well. Just want them loud as hell, I know it's a lot but I'd wait for a good set. Flutes have good, but once I get into the 53's, I don't know how well they will hold up.

Thank you everyone for your input by the way, I have a folder of all of these suggestions.
