New 42-volt Batteries

since there is less heat, shouldn't the efficiency be raised? therefore, 94 or 81, it would in fact be slightly higher? (at least on paper?)

well 42 volts would be comming from the alternator not the battery as the artical claims. The authorities decided to tripple voltage on both the 12v battery and the 14.4v alternator

but with efficiency and 42 volts from the alt. i could see our 100w being hit

looks like the alts will need to be that high to charge the batteries of 36v

By the way, did anyone notice that 42 is triple 14 ... Is it possible that the alternators will actually produce 43.2 volts ?

I had the notion that if the voltage is so much higher, the current draw would drop considerably. Wrong? Oh wait...1/3 less current if you wanted to produce same watts...

I love my chick... i must not have spent more than 300-400$ on her for the 9 months. that includes dinners and presents and other stuff

Either the Kodas (I've never really looked at them, but hear they're great) or something JL, I also hear those are great too...but all 3 are expensive, just not JL's lowest line. Jeez this is a long thread...35 posts in less than an hour
