I don't think I'd go that far with performance. I'd rather be loud than fast. I was thinking more like headers and a cam, small stuff/id say performance stuff.
but putting all that weight it there would kind of make it null/void.
but if you do....supercharger for sure....or do a total engine swap w/ a srt-8/10 ftmfw.
160....no. Sorry.i know on one run he did a 154 and change and then he called me a few days later and said he saw a 155 and change...which i believe...that was the goal to begin with...now he's eyeing 160

Lose the ability to pressurize.160....no. Sorry.
Especially in that ginormous box.
Lose the ability to pressurize.
I'd seriously only do 12-16cubes NET.

He has a lot of power, he doesn't need a big efficient enclosure. His boxes were going to be TOO big, no matter what power level. Putting a 10" in a 10 cubic foot box just because it only has 100 watts isn't going to make it louder.Hey guys,
Help me understand this better.
I always thought a bigger box would:
1) Be more efficient (less backpressure) and thus wouldn't need as much wattage
2) Easier to put big ports in and tune higher
Wouldn't he want this if he wanted to hit 160? Woudn't going with a smaller box mean he'd need alot more power to reach 160?
Thanks.

I'm guessing he meant 15 cubes per pair of subs is too much, and then 20 cubes TOTAL for all 4 subs.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif i dont get it ... he said he wanted 30cubes .. and you say 15 is bigger than 20?? i thought bigger numbers = bigger boxes .. so wouldnt 15cubes be more effiecnet?(sp)
Thanks, but I think someone said earlier that they would get louder with a smaller box....He has a lot of power, he doesn't need a big efficient enclosure. His boxes were going to be TOO big, no matter what power level. Putting a 10" in a 10 cubic foot box just because it only has 100 watts isn't going to make it louder.
but you're assuming though....so with the 4 mt subs and triple the power he should be close to if not at 160

I did. and in theory, its true. Thanks, but I think someone said earlier that they would get louder with a smaller box....
