id say performance stuff.

but putting all that weight it there would kind of make it null/void.

but if you do....supercharger for sure....or do a total engine swap w/ a srt-8/10 ftmfw.

I don't think I'd go that far with performance. I'd rather be loud than fast. I was thinking more like headers and a cam, small stuff/

Hey guys,

Help me understand this better.

I always thought a bigger box would:

1) Be more efficient (less backpressure) and thus wouldn't need as much wattage

2) Easier to put big ports in and tune higher

Wouldn't he want this if he wanted to hit 160? Woudn't going with a smaller box mean he'd need alot more power to reach 160?

Thanks.

He has a lot of power, he doesn't need a big efficient enclosure. His boxes were going to be TOO big, no matter what power level. Putting a 10" in a 10 cubic foot box just because it only has 100 watts isn't going to make it louder.

Yep 15 cubes to big for the MTs...I would go for 20 cubes or so.

I'm guessing he meant 15 cubes per pair of subs is too much, and then 20 cubes TOTAL for all 4 subs.

Thanks, but I think someone said earlier that they would get louder with a smaller box....

that's because bigger boxes dont' always make the sub louder. Beyond a certain point, your compromising power handling and higher frequency extension. That's why you have to know what sub your dealing with, a box can be too big or too small!
