Everyone is allowed to have their own opinion. It is 2011(almost 2012). Regardless of timing this very topic has been around longer then most of you have been alive.

I am not your typical person who needs to get drunk and smoke a little weed to have a good time...those are crutches for people who are boring and use them to spicen up things....where would your life be without weed, liquor, ect????? you have to do it.

why would I want to smoke that stuff............last............no one gets cancer from smoking weed.......that is because no one smokes 20 joints a day...compare 1 cigarette to 1 joint....the joint is way worse.

You have no idea what cannabis users are actually like. Have you heard of a man named Carl Sagan? I really hope you have, because he will forever be embedded in scientific history. He was an author and an amazing astrophysicist, and he knew more things about distant galaxies than you could ever possibly know about anything. He was also a very outspoken cannabis advocate. Do you know who Steve Jobs is? He used cannabis in his younger years, which resulted in him experimenting with LSD. He spoke in several interviews about how LSD changed his life drastically for the better, and he attributed his artistic genius to the experiences he had.

I don't think either of those men thought of cannabis as a crutch. That's because cannabis is not a crutch. Cannabis is a plant with psychoactive chemicals; it's illegal now because the government is afraid of losing votes(ie., half of the United States, ie., idiots, ie., you).

Disprove those medical journals I linked to. Can you do it without giving me links to graphs created by the DEA or NIDA? Do you even know who those people are? Please, take the advice I gave the other guy about this. Educate yourself.

If you can't disprove them, or if you can't prove your point with facts, consider yourself a failure.

I keep living because I like to live, I keep smoking because I like to smoke. If I had to quit smoking because it was affecting me negatively, big deal, it wouldn't phase me a bit. But for now there's no reason to stop. Give me a good reason why I should reduce the quality of my life.

Ok so going by your logic, saying if I say i eat pizza cause I like the taste would mean I'm addicted to it.

Liking the effects of weed DOES not mean you are addicted to it. What about the people who smoke every once in a while? I'm sure they like the feeling too, but that doesn't mean they're addicted to it. I've quit smoking many a times, its not hard at all. Even when i was on probation for my DWI, I wasn't smoking due to getting drug tested.

I don't go to work blazed, I stop smoking about 3 hours before I go to work so I'm not high up there. Weed is NOT addicting, get that through your **** head.

I knew I was addicted to warm showers in the morning. And ***. And riding a bicycle down a hill. And listening to music. And using a fan. And having heating and air conditioning.

Not as much as you may think actually. I'm not saying everyone who smokes steals, but plenty of studies support that weed is heavily popular with in the circles of illegal activity. I don't want to get into this conversation on this forum again though.

As long as ones actions do not effect or have a chance to effect my family in a negative way then I don't care for the most part. I still have my views and personal beliefs but they are just that.

This, none of my pothead friends are on welfare either. I have a nicer car, I dont live with my parents, I have a job, I pay my bills, I don't go around causing trouble to people, I dont go around doing stupid ****. I just work and chill and smoke a little weed.

I will say this...

Addicting is subjective and what most of you have already posted in this thread if told to a psychologist would yield you being labeled an addict.

I've been to drug classes before from probation. I'm not addicted to weed as I could stop smoking at any point in time without any hesitation. I have no need to stop smoking right now so I continue to do so. If I were to get a really good job offer where I would have to quit, then I would most certainly quit.

They had me do a questionaire and I answered the questions the same way as I would have posted in this topic. The results came back and I was not labeled as an addict. Addicts depend on weed, as does an alcoholic depends on alcohol. I can function completely normal and go on about my day if I'm not high.
