Never Go To Bestbuy

You're going to need a wiring adapter... unless you want to cut the factory harness and hardwire, which I strongly advise against.
What do you mean? DO you have a web store with it?

Im Crimping the wires together if thats what u meant.

OK i got my New aftermarket CD player which is a Pioneer 6000Now i go there the first time and the guy gets me to buy an install kit(Which i do not need for a 1999 ford mustang without the mach 460 system) but he SWEARS that i need it. and a wiring harness there is for a ford 85 and up. i get home get my buddies help and find out the wiring harness is the wrong one and the install kit isn't needed at all. So the next day i go back and bring bother back. i talk to a different guy this time that's worked there for three years, he tells me "This" one is the correct one. So i buy it go back home and take everything out, look around and don't see where the speaker plug goes. So i drive over to our local custom car audio store and ask them before i take it back. He says its the wrong one again!

So he just tell me to wait till tomorrow and hell have the correct part in for me then.

Conclusion: Best buy hires Idiots.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/verymad.gif.3f39c5c2fd57527b671fad3efdfac756.gif

u didnt?sounds like u did to me

BB wanted to charge me $600 to install my Viper 791xv in my silverado. I paid $200 brand new for the alarm, I was not about to pay 3x as much just to get it installed. Idiots, I would like to meet the person that would of excepted that deal.
If they're going to do it right, and hide the brains in a place that's not reachable, that sounds to be an accurate price. Hidden brains means pulling the entire dash and putting it up against the firewall where you can't hear it clicking. Not to mention running the wires through factory split loom takes time as well. Sounds like you don't know what goes into a good alarm install.

it really doesnt matter...im just being a smartass //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Guess i did. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif oh well , STILL P!SSED! Ive had this CD player for the last four days collecting dust because they give me the wrong part.

________

And I DID look up the part number, Metra 70-5511 look it up. But the problem is there three or four harnesses for Ford mustang 1999s //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif So i had to close my eyes and hope for the best. I figured the guys at BB would have worked on a couple mustangs and know the parts, But i guess not. This is my first experience with Best buys car audio dept. i mostly windowshoped there before //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Ok i do not agree at all. We charge $600 to install the Viper 5900 and thats WITH ALARM, BYPASS, And ALL PARTS!!! so whoever is payn $600 for labor is retarded. And I consider it to be a VERY quality install...

thats seems a little too steep my man...like i said we charge 160(at the most) plus parts, no more the 70-80...that equals 240(at the most)

yea a dude at BB told me i needed to buy a 50 dollar or betted harness i told him to stick it in his butt and told him i already had an aftermarket deck freakin d0uche
and u may have made an *** of yourself. Not downing you but alot of the newer vehicles do take harness's well over $50. Hell some of the new cars take dash kits well over $50. So honestly if its not a normal harness then he was prob right. Especially if its a "Peripheral" piece they do range from $50 - $200.

yeah but no one cares if the alarm is installed correctly until their car goes missing when the alarm was on.

But lets face it, its not hard no matter how well a stock alarm was installed (key word here is stock alarm) It takes a knowledgeable person seconds to disarm it even if they dont know where the brain is.

he just said that he already had one isntalled, so obviously he doesnt need the 50$ harness. ur making a *** or urself

Not really if you look at the price of alarm costing around $250 with a $50 bypass and any other parts. For 3-6 hours of labor thats about right. That alarm is a 2way pager with remote start, and LCD screen ya know! Also some vehicles need special treatment like Dodge's needing to be Diode isolated and relayed like a sum *****!!!
